President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in National Security Council meeting with some former leaders of Nigeria and some security chiefs.
The meeting which is coordinated from the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is being presided over by the President and has in virtual attendance in no particular other, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd.), former President Goodluck Jonathan, Gen Yakubu Gowon (rtd.), and former head of interim national government, Chief Ernest Shonekan.
However, the rest of the attenders who appeared physically at the council chambers are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, National Security Adviser, Major Gen Babagana Monguno (rtd.), Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olanisakin, Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, Director General, Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi and Director General, National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Rufai and many more.
The agenda of the meeting is not made public yet, notwithstanding issues bordering on the current security situation in the country are believed to top the agenda as it’s very crucial at the moment.
