The #EnDSARS peaceful protest in Ogbomoso turned sour

The #EnDSARS peaceful protest in Ogbomoso turned sour as an onlooker was reportedly shot by a police officer.

The young man who was identified as Jimoh Isiaka, a student of LAUTECH, later died at Bowen University Teaching Hospital after being hit by stray bullet in the back.

The Police Command in Oyo State has however, debunked the reported shooting of #EndSARS protesters in Ogbomoso by its personnel.

An eyewitness told Dailies Reportage that the victim was shot in the back by the police when the protesters reached Owode police station in Ogbomoso.

The eyewitness further stated that the man was shot once, as the policemen were trying to prevent the station from being attacked by the protesters.

SP Olugbenga Fadeyi, the Public Relations Officer of the command, said in a statement issued in Ibadan on Saturday, that the police did not fire any shot at the protesters.

Olugbenga Fadeyi also said that the protesters were allowed to express their grievances for over an hour without Police hindrance.

Viewer discretion is advised as the video below might be disturbing.

Before he was shot.

May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
